This short linear trail near Kyperounta and Spilia links the Doxa si o Theos area with Moutti tis Choras through quiet pine woodland high on the Madari plateau. Easy and quick at just 1.8 km, it is an ideal gentle stroll or a warm-up before tackling the neighbouring Madari and Teisia tis Madaris routes, into whose network it connects. A spring with drinking water sits at the main trailhead.

What you’ll see

  • Easy, shaded woodland walking suitable for all
  • Gateway into the wider Madari trail network
  • Two access points for a flexible route
  • Fresh spring water at the trailhead
  • Peaceful high-plateau pine forest

The walk

Begin at the Doxa si o Theos trailhead, where a fountain offers cool spring water, and follow the level, well-shaded path through pine forest toward Moutti tis Choras. The walking is gentle and undemanding, making it a fine choice for families or a short leg-stretch on a Troodos drive. In under half an hour you reach the far end, from where the paths toward Madari and Kannavia branch off if you want to keep going.

Getting there

The first trailhead is about 2 km from Kyperounta on the connecting road; the second is near Moutti tis Choras toward Kannavia. Park at the roadside clearings. Get directions →

Good to know before you go

It is short enough to combine with the Madari ridge trails for a fuller day; the fountain at the start is a good spot to top up water.
